That's right, 85% of school is going GREAT.

-WARNING. THIS IS A RANT AND IS FULL OF FOUL LANGUAGE.-

Though if you ever see/hear about some band student beaning her marching band director with her baritone, that will be me. He's a douche, a fucking idiot, and so much more I could say but won't. I love marching band, I'm a band geek and I'm proud of it! I love my Pirates, marching or not, but this poor excuse for a band director is ruining EVERYTHING. Now, you're probably thinking, "oh, she's just mad because the good director left"; well let me tell ya something:

1- He doesn't seem to care about our health (a girl passed out and had some BAD problems and he wouldn't let her go to the hospital until three of our marchers who are nursing students overrode him, then he made a poor guy sit and watch us outside in 85+ degree weather with a 101-102 fever. We've had around 10-15 people get sick/faint so far this year, and with our old director no one did at ALL last year.)
2- He doesn't listen to his band staff (stupid)
3- He doesn't listen to the veterans/returning marchers (retard)
4- He's arranged rap music so badly that not even our drunk fans like it (which is saying something)
5- Our second show is high school level jazz band music (no offense guys, but that's just not cool)
6- He doesn't give us enough water breaks (REALLY stupid)
7- He talks down to us (bitch mother fucker)
8- He doesn't show us respect (we don't give him any because of that)
9- He tries to make us do better by insulting us, by calling us NC State (Their band is AWFUL. They can't form strait lines. Sorry Katie and Meagan, you guys are the only exception!) which makes us more mad than anything
10- He tries to be cool by telling us stories and wasting valuable time (no tact at all)
11- He wasted our time at band camp by making it shorter and working on things that didn't need to be practiced, and skipped things like breathing exercises (stupid stupid stupid go hit yourself in the face with a shovel!)
12- He's either scrapping or changing most if not all of our traditions (go jump in a wood chipper!)

I could go on, but I'll spare you the drama. But ANYWAYS.

I love the rest of my classes and I'm having fun in them so far. Psychology is easy because I remember the stuff from high school, sociology is neat because I got to learn about norms and the levels of society, Art History is once again nap time , Graphic Design is tons of fun because it makes me think in different ways AND I'm finally learning how to correctly use photoshop and illustrator, and Wood Design is EPIC because I get to use big pointy dangerous machines.

Not to mention I got paired with an awesome room mate who connects with me better than my last one (and she doesn't snore!!!!). Oh, I almost forgot, Swine Flu is in my dorm and I DON'T CARE.

People need to CALM THE FUCK DOWN. As long as you eat right, stay clean and healthy, and stay away from people who are sick, you'll be fine!! Besides, if you DO get it, stay home, sleep, and drink fluids. It'll be gone before you know it, and it's not as bad as the media hypes it up to be. Trust me, a boy in my Wood Design class had it last week and he was back today feeling normal.

And how about those Pirates beating Appalachian State University?!?!?!?!?! WOOP WOOP!!!

But yeah, that's about it for now. I still can't fix my stupid d-art profile picture... I'm probably just slow. So I'll mess with that for a while...

Ok peeps! Stay healthy, stay clean, do your homework!!! I made Deans List last spring and the Honors list last fall, I challenge you to do better!! And if you aren't in college, A-B honor role is good too. Annnnd if you aren't that kind of student, I'll take an epic story instead. Unicorns are a must.
